Meet Ryann:

Stylish mama Ryann, over at Balancing in High Heels, enlisted the help of Instant Granite in her quest for the easiest DIY kitchen upgrade. She and her family had been in their 1950’s home for just over two years, and were itching to update the space, but weren’t feeling particularly ready for any major construction. She refaced her counters with our White Italian Marble Instant Granite, painted the cabinets, and swapped out a few knobs…..the result? A beautifully revamped kitchen, without the headache or price tag of a full on renovation. The Before:

There were two major problems with her kitchen that Ryann knew she wanted to address: the counters and the cabinets. At first, she attempted to paint the counters (hoping this would save her from having to tackle both projects), but she wasn’t happy with the result. After weeks of perusing Pinterest, Ryann fell IN LOVE with the navy cabinet + white counter-top trend. Fully replacing the counters was not in her budget, so she was thrilled when she found Instant Granite. It was the perfect way to get the style she wanted out of her DIY ktichen upgrade, without comprising on the budget she set.

The During:

Ryann measured her counters, ordered the correct amount and got to work! She was careful to lay out the material first and gather a game plan before removing the backing paper. In the picture below, you can see that Ryann chose to caulk the seam between her back-splash and counter-top. We always recommend this technique to customers as it protects the material + gives a more realistic look!

The After:

Talk about stunning!! This kitchen looks brand new, with minimal effort and cost. The navy + white trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and honestly, we are A-OK with that!
